As of 2022, Taylor Swift has sold 1 of every 25 vinyl records in the US^[1], and that was already a big year, with 41 million sold^[2].

That is no small feat.

Coming off her mega hit ‘Eras’ Tour, she is bigger than ever and the train just doesn’t seem to be stopping.

But what does this mean for Vinyl?

With Vinyl sales up %23 so far this year^[3], you have to wonder how much of this growth we can argue is due to Taylor moving so much product.

While some might say that the growth of vinyl back into the mainstream isn’t the best idea, and other think it’s great, it’s clear that it’s something the market is looking for now.

Having an artist as massive as Swift getting her fans to buy records will cause a ripple effect that could turn a lot of people who wouldn’t’ have gotten into records into vinyl lovers.
